Hey everyone! I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I’m Dr. Rachel Miro. I’m a dentist here at Dental Implant and Aesthetic Specialist in Brookhaven, Georgia.
Education
I started my education here in Atlanta at Georgia Tech – Go Jackets! Then I made my way up to NYU, where I went to dental school. After that, I headed down to Augusta, where I completed a residency that really focused on IV sedation and dental implants. IV sedation is a moderate conscious sedation where, for all intents and purposes, you don’t remember any part of the procedure, but you’re still able to breathe on your own, and we’re able to get procedures done for you.
Dentistry has always been a big part of my life. I genuinely love being a dentist. I come from a family of dentists. My dad’s a dentist, my brother’s a dentist, and it’s kind of a family affair at this point.
Focus for My Practice
Since the start of my dental career, I kind of knew that I wanted to focus on the surgical aspects of dentistry, such as implants, sedation, extractions, and grafts. That’s always really been what I’ve wanted to focus my career on.
My goal as a dentist is to make the patients feel like they’re part of our family. We want to make sure that they’re comfortable with what they’re getting done and why they need it. If you have any questions, we’re happy to answer them. If there’s anything we can do to make your dental experience better, we’re here to do that.

I try to customize my care to each and every patient so that they feel comfortable in the dental chair. My goal with these videos is to take the fear of dentistry. I’m here to show you what each procedure looks like and exactly what to expect so that on the day of your appointment, the fear and anxiety are down.
