Dentures, sets of false teeth, are used by multiple of our patients. And while dentures are a good option if you are missing pearly whites, lots of our patients have confided in us that they’re disappointed that they let their teeth get to the point of needing dentures. If you have any missing teeth, complete or partial dentures may be right for you, and we’d be ecstatic to arrange a consultation for you. If you still have all of your natural teeth, please think about the following guidance.
There are many reasons why people lose teeth and need to get dentures: poor dental hygiene, infrequent dental visits, physical accidents, acid reflux, diabetes, high blood pressure, advanced age and more. The greatest way to avert needing false teeth is to maintain a healthy dental hygiene routine.
Keeping a strong hygiene routine means brushing your pearly whites with fluoride toothpaste twice per day, flossing once per day and visiting our office for cleanings and checkups often. To hamper your risk of developing periodontal disease and decaying pearly whites, avoid tobacco, limit alcohol intake and watch out for excessively sugary foods and drinks.
We want all of our patients to enjoy their natural pearly whites for life. If for any reason you do need to get dentures, don’t fret: they can be comfortable, attractive and effective replacements for natural teeth.
